Air India Express staff attacked by unruly passenger at Mumbai airport
Passenger assaults staff over priority check-in dispute, later handed over to CISF.
On Sunday, a female traveller allegedly attacked a female employee of Air India Express at a desk at the Mumbai airport. Later on, the police received the passenger, according to news agency PTI.
"A passenger misbehaved with a member of our ground operations partner's staff on September 1st at Mumbai airport. According to Standard Operating Procedures, the passenger was turned over to the police after the duty manager immediately informed the CISF, an Air India Express representative stated in a statement on Tuesday.
The passenger and employees got into a heated debate about something having to do with priority boarding. According to reports, the female traveler was instructed to wait as another passenger completed her check-in.
The man became irate and allegedly attacked the airline employees after being asked to wait for a bit.
