A man had been accused of flashing his privates to a woman at a protest against the rape-murder case in Kolkata. Outrage was caused when the police let him go despite the fact that he was apprehended by other protestors.

At one of the biggest crossroads in the city, the Esplanade crossing in Kolkata, the woman was subjected to sexual harassment while participating in a protest. Following the event, additional protesters caught the man and alerted neighboring police officers, according to India Today.

The man was recognized by the police as a local and as mentally ill, according to sources who spoke with the channel. Then the cops let him go, which infuriated the demonstrators.
