Sheikh Hasina left her position as prime minister and left Bangladesh due to political unrest and chaos. Images of protesters breaking into the former prime minister's home, stealing, and damaging items appeared on social media. Additionally, a video showing some vandalizing a statue of Sheikh Hasina's father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the man who founded Bangladesh, went viral. Many were astonished by this act of disobedience and condemned the protestors for damaging the statue. Entrepreneur Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw is one among them. She referred to it as a "Sad day for Bangladesh" and condemned the act.
