After allegedly executing the crime, the man suspected of raping and killing a doctor inside Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital returned home and slept for a few hours, according to police on Sunday. In order to eliminate evidence, he later cleaned his garments.

Inside the hospital's seminar hall, the post-graduate trainee doctor's body was discovered on Friday morning. Her coworkers said that she had eaten her supper and then gone to the hall to relax. Between 3 am and 6 am  in the morning, the rape and murder occurred.
