This past week, Telangana minister Konda Surekha stirred up a lot of controversy when she implied that Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya's divorce was a result of a political plot. The lawmaker withdrew her remarks after Samantha and Chaitanya, along with the entire film industry, criticised Surekha. Though Chaitanya did not specifically mention Samantha in his speech, many fans were quick to criticise him as well, even though Surekha received a lot of backlash.
