KHALEDA ZIA'S PARTY IRKED BY INDIA HOSTING BANGLADESH'S SHEIKH HASINA: 'IF YOU HELP ENEMY...'

KHALEDA ZIA'S PARTY IRKED BY INDIA HOSTING BANGLADESH'S SHEIKH HASINA: 'IF YOU HELP ENEMY...'

Sheikh Hasina's Awami League's main challenger, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), is displeased with India's hospitality of the prime minister who was removed after she left Dhaka on Monday.

Senior BNP leader and former minister Gayeshwar Roy told The Times of India that his party is in support of Bangladesh and India cooperating together. But "it becomes difficult for that mutual cooperation to be honored if you help our enemy." They are worried that India backed Sheikh Hasina's comeback to power, he stated.

Indian citizens and Bangladeshis get along well; Sheikh Hasina's liability is being covered by India. Therefore, shouldn't India support a single party rather than the entire nation? declared Gayeshwar Roy.

Sheikh Hasina, where will she go?
Following her resignation as prime minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina escaped to India. It's unknown what her future intentions entail—whether she'll stay in India, apply for refuge abroad, or go back to Bangladesh.
