Maggots near fridge, foul smell...': What Bengaluru victim's mother said in FIR
The mother of the woman whose chopped body was discovered hidden in a refrigerator in a Bengaluru flat, Meena Rana, 58, stated in the first information report that the crime was discovered due to an offensive stench coming from the residence.
In her complaint, the widow stated that she used to frequently see her daughter, Mahalakshmi Das. The victim's brother, Ukkum Singh, was recently alerted by her neighbour about a stench emanating from the flat.
When the family went to Mahalakshmi's house on Saturday, they discovered the door was locked from the outside.
The landlord had left them with an extra key. After moving into the property, she claimed in the FIR to have seen maggots outside the refrigerator. The flat was littered with garments and reeked of an offensive odour.
